TATORT - Kings of the Night

The night in Zurich has its own rhythm. For the new episode of *Tatort* titled *Kings of the Night*, we were able to capture exactly that pulse. Amid flashing lights, wet streets, and quiet moments, we used our drone and Cinebike to create scenes that draw viewers right into the heart of the action. Our Cinebike, an electric motorcycle equipped with a high-end camera setup, stayed right by the main protagonist’s side. We followed her through the city, capturing movements you can almost physically feel, and thus created dynamic images that drive the story forward.

At the same time, we used a drone to capture Zurich from new perspectives. By day, the city appears clear and structured; by night, it’s raw and full of excitement. Thanks to our SORA operational certification, we were able to capture these images over populated areas, built-up zones, uninhabited terrain, and without involving bystanders. It is precisely this freedom that allows us to tell stories in an authentic and visually compelling way.

Some of the most striking scenes were shot in the immediate vicinity of the airport. This required additional flight clearances from Skyguide, which we planned and coordinated meticulously in advance. It is precisely these moments—when technology, planning, and creativity come together—that transform a scene into something special.

In the end, what remains is the feeling of a city that never quite sleeps, and images that capture exactly that.
