180 meters below Walter Battaglia, the RhB's all-rounder, tunnels wind their way down, draining water under enormous pressure. 53 meters above the ground, industrial climber Otti Flepp dares to tackle steep rock faces and works on the Rhaetian Railway's Castiel bridge. 900 meters below ground, Nagra tunnel construction engineer Linard Cantieni leads the work on storing radioactive waste in the tunnels. And 60 meters above the ground, crane operator Enio Castelli carries out his work, balancing the 4-ton crane above the heads of the workers. Casper Nicca accompanies the workers with his team on and below the ground and shows their daily work in impressive images from this working world.
The flights that took place in the depths of the mountain and underground were particularly challenging. In these environments, there was a lack of GPS signals and sensors, the light was limited and the temperatures were cold. Nevertheless, we overcame these challenges and captured some impressive footage. Our technical expertise and teamwork made it possible to realize the vision of the project under difficult conditions. š
