DAVOS 1917

As part of the production of the "Davos 1917" series, we realized all the drone shots, which were taken over a large area in the picturesque canton of Graubünden and in the enchanting South Tyrol. We used INSPIRE 2 and INSPIRE 3 drones with full-frame sensors and a resolution of up to 8K.

In the middle of a winter shoot, characterized by freezing temperatures and challenging conditions, we were able to take part in this outstanding project. The cold was so intense at times that even our cables and batteries froze, which posed a particular challenge as we had to be ready for action at all times. However, with the help of heating cases and heat bags, we were able to successfully overcome this.

Additional challenges arose during the filming in Davos: An airspace closure, due to the World Economic Forum (WEF), paralyzed the region. Close collaboration with the local authorities and production management was required to ensure that our drone shots could be carried out smoothly and in strict accordance with the applicable regulations.

For us, this shoot was an extremely valuable experience that required a high degree of sensitivity, especially in view of the sometimes very close drone flights next to the galloping horses.

That's what the series is about:

1917 - the First World War devastates Europe. In contrast, Switzerland appears to be an oasis of peace. But in reality, behind the scenes in neutral Switzerland, an agent war is raging between the world powers. A young nurse wants her illegitimate child back and agrees to spy for the German Reich.
