Where 800,000 people celebrate, we deliver pictures!

The Street Parade is not only the biggest techno event in the world, but also one of the most challenging backdrops for professional drone shots in Switzerland. Dense crowds, moving scenes, changing lighting moods and an airspace that is used particularly intensively on this day.

In 2025, spectacular aerial shots were once again taken directly over crowds of people. The basis for this was the existing SORA certification for flights over crowds, which makes safe and legal operations possible in the first place. Preparations were made in close consultation with the Street Parade committee, the security officers and the lead production company Blackframe, which acted as the central interface, bringing all the threads together, coordinating the overall production and also producing the official aftermovie for the event.

A particular challenge this year: in addition to the authorized drone flights, numerous other drones were flying over the lake basin, some without permission and also illegally directly over crowds of people. A police drone was also in use and the police helicopter kept circling over the site. In order to identify potential dangers or conflicts in the airspace at an early stage, it was permanently monitored by various applications and a spotter. This continuous airspace monitoring is a central component of our safety procedures and made a decisive contribution to being able to react safely at all times.

Three different drone systems were used for the production, from the small Croudsurfer (special FPV drone) for dynamic close-ups above the crowd to the powerful platform for long-range long shots. This resulted in artistic key visuals as well as impressive overview images that were seamlessly integrated into the overall production of Blackframe and show the event from a unique perspective.

The final aerial shots combine safety, legality and creativity to create a result that shows the Street Parade from a perspective that is only possible with professional drone technology, clear operational structures and strong production management in the background. They prove that delicate drone shots and strict safety standards can go hand in hand, legally, responsibly and impressively at the same time.
